Africa: The Serengeti

release year: 1994
genre: IMAX documentary
viewing setting: home DVD, 1/31/99
what I expected: a nature show
what I got: a nature show

synopsis: Life on Africa's Serengeti plain is tough, as we see while listening to James Earl Jones narrate.

impressions: Well-done. The camera work is flawless, and they really did a good job of capturing the wild animals in their natural environment. I was also impressed by the sheer wilderness of this wilderness - one of the last such places on the planet. If anything, the film was too short - I wanted to see more!

acting: n/a, but James Earl Jones does a great job of narrating the action.

the good: good animal attack and feeding scenes

the bad: nothing

final word: entertaining nature show

rating: C
