Alien: Night Shift

synopsis: The two-person staff of a supply department ends up wishing they'd closed early for the night.

impressions: This was one of six short fan films made in 2019, to mark the 40th anniversary of the original movie. The plot here is that an infected person (it's obvious right from the start) and his friend get let into the supply room after closing time, and they have to deal with the eventual chestburster. There was a nice setup moment at the end that reminded me of the final moments of Ghosts of Mars.

acting: Amber Gaston is the main protagonist.

final word: Yet another small slice of life from the Alien universe.
