Ancient Aliens season 3

release year: 2011
genre: TV documentary (16 episodes)
viewing setting: home DVD 2/4-22/2021

synopsis: Aliens might have been involved in our world's history, as can be seen if you look at all the various potential evidence.

impressions: The producers have taken a basic concept (aliens visiting Earth in the past) and explored dozens of ways it could be tied to past and current historical events. Here are episodes from this season; I've boldfaced the ones I found most interesting:
episode 1: Aliens and the Old West (old west legends that might have involved UFOs etc)
episode 2: Aliens and Monsters (possibility that legendary monsters might have been alien experiments)
episode 3: Aliens and Sacred Places (sacred/holy places that might have been alien areas of interest)
episode 4: Aliens and Temples of Gold (various gold and alchemy sites, because aliens might have needed gold)
episode 5: Aliens and Mysterious Rituals (idea that some ancient rites were actually communications with aliens)
episode 6: Aliens and Ancient Engineers (ancient sites with advanced engineering couldnt' have been built without alien help)
episode 7: Aliens, Plagues and Epidemics (idea that some epidemics were caused by aliens)
episode 8: Aliens and Lost Worlds (could some ancient civilizations have actually been ruled by aliens?)
episode 9: Aliens and Deadly Weapons (potential alien involvement in various weapons found in history and myth)
episode 10: Aliens and Evil Places (examination of sites surrounded by death and misfortune)
episode 11: Aliens and the Founding Fathers (alien encounters and influences with the founding father of the U.S.)
episode 12: Aliens and Deadly Cults (mass suicides and cult leaders might have been influenced by aliens)
episode 13: Aliens and the Secret Code (a world grid and its possible uses)
episode 14: Aliens and the Undead (life after death, vampires, zombies, and the chance that aliens are responsible/involved)
episode 15: Aliens, Gods, and Heroes (could legendary heroes and gods have been aliens?)
episode 16: Aliens and the Creation of Man (idea that humans could not have evolved while other species did not, and therefore aliens were responsible)

acting: The narration is strong and consistent, and the interviews are always interesting and entertaining.

final word: While some of these ideas may be unlikely or impossible, it's hard to believe that ALL of them are. This show will stimulate your mind.
