Apocalypse 101, season 1, episode 5: Better Safe Than Sorry

release year: 2013
genre: TV documentary
viewing setting: home streaming 12/13/23

synopsis: Four ex-military experts have formed a company and advise people who need feedback and input on their preparations.

impressions: This episode's clients: two novice preppers who plan to retreat to the mountains and pan for gold...an upscale prepper needing defensive advice despite having dozens of guns, a huge cache of supplies, a Humvee, and a small tank...two neighbors who know nothing and are put through simulated situations while driving...a novice with some guns, who buys another and an underground container...a guy who owns an EarthRoamer and wants help fortifying it.

acting: n/a but it's fun to see the team's different personalities and how they deal with the clients; I've noticed that they more often talk about "when" than "if" which makes me wonder what their own preps look like, and if they are really convinced that the world will end

final word: Interesting alternative to Doomsday Preppers when I can't stream that.
