Apollo 11
release year: 2019
genre: space drama/documentary
viewing setting: home Bluray 1/6/21
synopsis: This film, consisting entirely of archival footage, documents the entirely of the 1969 mission to land the first humans on the Moon.
impressions: This was unusual - there was no acting, no dramatization, no interviews, no narration, nothing modern. It was literally ALL ACTUAL FOOTAGE which was carefully and skillfully edited together into a film-length accounting of that mission - the lead-up, the actual flight, and the splashdown/recovery.
acting: This doesn't really apply...everything you see and hear is real filmed footage.
final word: While it can be a bit slow at times, due to its very nature, this is undoubtedly the best footage collection you will ever see regarding this event.
