The A-Team: Sheriffs of Rivertown

episode number: season 3, episode 9 (1984)
viewing setting: home DVD, 2/9/06

episode synopsis: The team is hired by a corporation to police the streets of the little town near their mine.

impressions: This one was okay. It gave the team the chance to wear badges and have real authority, it had a secret plot, and it featured some funny moments having to do with B.A.'s temper over flying and the tricks they always use to put him to sleep. For the first time I can recall, the others don't try to deny to him that they knocked him out. There was also a good funny part at the beginning when the corporate executives think they're talking to Hannibal but it's really the cleaning lady.

notable guest star: Robert Davi, who almost always plays bad guys in action movies, is the chief bad guy here.

what the team builds in this episode: A drill, so that they can escape a caved-in mine.

Hannibal wisecrack highlight: Marches into the saloon and pretty much tells the bad guys that their reign of terror is over.

B.A. toughness highlight: Singlehandedly provides the power for the drill the team built to escape the caved-in mine.

Murdock insanity highlight: Not much - for a short time he imitates the Dragnet narrative style.

Face scam highlight: None.
