The A-Team: Cowboy George
episode number: season 4, episode 15 (1986)
viewing setting: home DVD, 11/11/13
episode synopsis: Face sets up a concert in Texas, but there's a robbery set to happen during it, plus he ends up with Boy George instead of Cowboy George.
impressions: This one was just bad - an attempt to springboard off of the popularity of a current rock star. The plot made little sense (there is no way a bunch of rough cowboy types would let Culture Club perform for even thirty seconds) and again, there was an awful lot of shooting but no one got hit with bullets. I realize that this was par for the course, but it's gotten even worse in this season.
notable guest star: Boy George is himself. Great western actor L.Q. Jones is the head bad guy.
what the team builds in this episode: Nothing, but they blow out a wall with some dynamite.
Hannibal wisecrack highlight: He pretends to be the absent Cowboy George to infiltrate the bad guys and figure out what's going on.
B.A. toughness highlight: Nothing much.
Murdock insanity highlight: Pretends to be a DJ.
Face scam highlight: Sets up the concert but fails to get everything together properly.
