Boat Trip

release year: 2003
genre: comedy
viewing setting: home DVD, 3/10/22 and 4/4/12

synopsis: Two men with crappy love lives decide to go on a cruise to meet women; unfortunately, they get booked on a cruise that's all men.

impressions: Fairly funny and watchable. The guys learn a little tolerance while chasing the few women on the ship, with sometimes crazy results. It's silly at times, but entertaining and good for plenty of laughs.

acting: Cuba Gooding Jr. is the ladies' man Jerry. Horatio Sanz is the other guy, Nick, who's kind of a dork but sometimes seems to be channeling a young John Belushi. Roselyn Sanchez is a cute dance instructor who falls for Jerry and vice versa. Vivica Fox is Jerry's ex who dumped him. Roger Moore is a rich old guy on the prowl. Lin Shaye is the old coach of a bikini model team who lusts after Nick.

final word: Fairly entertaining comedy.
