Cities of Tomorrow, episode 2 - Cities of the Future
release year: 2015
genre: documentary
viewing setting: home streaming 1/19/25
synopsis: This series looks at ways to deal with the world's growing population and its needs - in this case, producton of energy.
impressions: This was really interesting material; while the previous episode dealt with food production, this one covered energy. The basic idea seemed to be that the world will shift toward a model where each house/building produces its own energy - a scenario which will turn capitalism on its end. The topic of transit was also discussed, and several locations that were starting to utilize solar power - in France, Germany, and China among others - were detailed.
acting: n/a but the narration and interview segments are well-voiced, well-spoken, and interesting
