Death Kiss

Tyrell: "All right, boys, we need to get the hell out of here. The smell...is definitely gonna attract predators."
K: "I'm already here."

release year: 2018
genre: drama/action
viewing setting: home Bluray 1/11/23 and 12/17/18

synopsis: A gun-toting vigilante alternates between blowing away bad guys and helping a young woman and her crippled daughter.

impressions: What we have here is a tribute to the classic Charles Bronson Death Wish movies, with an actor who in 2018 looks like Bronson did in the 1970s. It's uncanny. So if you liked those, you'll like this. That's probably all I need to say by way of explanation. The gunplay and blood were copious.

body count: 12 (2 with one shot!) by the main character, plus 2 others by different people

acting: Robert Bronzi (aka Robert Kovacs) is a dead ringer for Charles Bronson, but his voice sounds nothing like him. Still, he did okay; the main part of his character is the look. Richard Tyson is the sadistically evil bad guy. Eva Hamilton is the young mother who's benefitting from the vigilante's spoils. Daniel Baldwin is a radio host who's not afraid to say what's on his mind.

final word: This is like another, undiscovered Death Wish movie from the 70s or 80s.
