Faith Rewarded

release year: 2004
genre: sports documentary
viewing setting: home DVD, 1/13/21 and 3/30/05

synopsis: This is a documentary of the Boston Red Sox' historic 2004 season.

impressions: I liked this more than the other one, probably because it focused exclusively on the Red Sox and also because it covered their entire season, not just the playoffs. It did a good job chronicling the 2003 playoff loss, the off-season moves, the strong start to 2004, the summer slump, and the playoff run - as well as the playoffs themselves.

things to watch for: The look of utter disbelief on Alex Rodriguez' face as the Yankees lose in game 7 of the ALCS.

acting: n/a, but the narration was good and well-paced

final word: Must-see documentary for all fans of the Red Sox or baseball.
