Fast and Furious 6

Roman: "Who's got a plan B?"
Tej: "Plan B? We need a plan C, D, E. We need more alphabet!"
Brian: "Hey! We do what we do best. We improvise, all right?"

release year: 2013
genre: action
viewing setting: home Bluray 12/30-31/16

synopsis: The team reassembles to take on a master criminal in Europe, which will also accomplish the goal of getting Dom's supposedly-dead girlfriend back.

impressions: Another fast-paced action movie with insane high-speed stunts (which, this time, include a chase with a tank and another chase with a giant jumbo jet.) There was a false ending which then led to another half-hour of chases and fighting, and some interesting new larger-than-life characters. One gripe: again (and moreso than last time) there are dozens if not hundreds of innocent casualties as a result of the chases. Hard to ignore that.

acting: Pretty much everyone returns here, though a couple of characters do end up dying at the end. Michelle Rodriguez is the major returning character, though she's got amnesia and is working for the bad guys. There are some new additions as well. Luke Evans is the main bad guy, who's cocky and could care less about all the people he kills to get what he wants. Gina Carano is a tough cop. Jason Statham appears in a mid-credits scene as the next bad guy.

final word: Another slick, over-the-top action/chase film.
