what I expected: a lot, given the rave reviews this one's gotten
what I got: a good drama with some really funny parts, here and there
synopsis: Four people steal some diamonds, then double-cross each other as each tries to get the diamonds for him/herself.
impressions: As I said, it had a few really funny parts (almost entirely because of Kevin Kline) but overall, it was no epic comedy. Maybe fans of British humor would have a better time, hard to say. It was kind of a whodunit, in that you never knew who would backstab who next.
acting: Kevin Kline did the only outstanding job here, and he was hilarious.
final word: Decent comedy.
