synopsis: A tank crew has various trials and tribulations in World War II Europe.

impressions: Well, here we have it: a movie that realistically depicts life in a tank during wartime. It's dirty, often grim, and makes you realize that however cool war might seem, it really isn't. Soldiers are just trying to get their job done, even though the job sometimes makes no sense.

acting: Brad Pitt is the commanding officer, who has to balance ruthless efficiency and a sense of morality. Logan Lerman is the new recruit, who was a clerk before this and must learn fast. Shia LaBeouf, Michael Pena, and Jon Bernthal are the veteran tank crew, and are a tough, unforgiving, and generally unlikeable bunch.

final word: Very realistic war movie mostly set in and around a tank.
