what I got: Good spoof-turned-serious.
synopsis: The cast of the successful-but-long-dead TV show "Galaxy Quest" is enlisted by real aliens who think the characters are real and can save their world from invasion.
impressions: Very entertaining! It was a lot of things: a spoof, a sci-fi adventure, action-packed, funny, sometimes serious. I really enjoyed the movie despite knowing nothing about it when I bought my ticket.
acting: Good jobs, expecially by Tim Allen, Alan Rickman, and Sigourney Weaver.
final word: Worth seeing, especially if you enjoy poking a little fun at Star Trek conventions and their fans.
