synopsis: Two cutting-edge military forces - one good, one evil - do battle against each other.

impressions: It was entertaining, but goofy. The technology used by both sides is a little further out than "the near future", and both groups' home bases are vast, almost unbelievable places. Nevertheless, this movie does a good job of working in many elements of the comics and action figure series, has plenty of interesting characters, and almost non-stop action.

something this movie has that no other movie has: a warhead that dissolves metal

acting: Generally passable, if over-the-top.

final word: Perfect popcorn movie, and worth seeing on the big screen.
