synopsis: A gang of lovable kids is about to lose their neighborhood to land developers...until they find a treasure map that might lead them to fame and fortune.

impressions: This was a great, entertaining treasure hunt movie with kids. They have their little gang, plus one big brother and two girls, and they put together clues that the adults miss. Then, they go for it. Quite fun, and good entertainment. This came from Spielberg in the mid-1980s, and the quality shows.

things to watch for: Pirate ship full of treasure.

something this movie has that no other movie has: Sloth, a deformed giant who's really a kid at heart.

acting: There are too many people to break all their roles down here. Sean Astin and Corey Feldman were the main two, along with that little kid from the second Indiana Jones movie.

final word: Good fun entertainment that all kids should get to see.
