Halloween 3: Season of the Witch
release year: 1982genre: horrorviewing setting: home VHS, 9/24/00what I expected: wasn't surewhat I got: fairly creepy stuff
synopsis: A really nasty plot is afoot for the upcoming Halloween, and it's up to a doctor and a woman to figure it out and stop it.
impressions: Creepy atmosphere and music, decent special effects, and just enough weird shit to keep you guessing and watching. I don't want to give away anything, since much of the horror depends on the shock value of you learning plot elements. Here's one that's no secret: this is the Halloween movie without Michael Myers. One point, too: I found this movie to be a good indication of the sad state of children and TV, in that they're like little zombies drawn to the TV set. Sad but true commentary on our society.
acting: Tom Atkins did a good job as someone drawn into something way too nasty for him to handle. The old guy who was in charge of all the evil was good, too.
final word: Worth seeing for its evil plot alone.
