Hard to Kill

release year: 1990
genre: action
viewing setting: home DVD, 3/31/13 and home laserdisc 11/16/97 and several times before that

synopsis: Seven years ago, on the verge of a major bust, cop Mason Storm was betrayed by corrupt cops and his family was attacked. His wife died and he was presumed dead, but he actually went into a coma and was stashed away as a John Doe. Now, he's woken up...and he's pissed.

impressions: This is a solid action movie with lots of fighting and suitably evil bad guys. Seagal was in his young prime here, running around and breaking bones with wild abandon. There's also plenty of gunplay too.

body count: 11 for Seagal, 5 for other people. He also beat the crap out of an additional 16 people.

acting: Steven Seagal is in top form. Kelly LeBrock is the nurse who falls for him and helps him. Bill Sadler is a corrupt politician.

final word: Good action/revenge movie.
