Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, part 2

synopsis: Everything comes together, as Harry and friends try to destroy pieces of the evil bad guy, who marshals his forces to attack the school.

impressions: I really don't feel the need to write a long, detailed review. Why would I? Others have already done that. I'll just say that this contains plenty of magical battles and tense events, and the entire second half of the movie is one big action scene. And a lot of the mysteries and reasons behind past events are finally explained. Be warned: you have to have seen the previous movie(s) to understand this one. I'm sure there's someone out there who will just walk into it cold and then complain that it didn't make any sense.

acting: Again, no need to recap it all here. Everyone returns (including many who haven't been seen for a few of the movies) and everyone does a great job. Many characters have moments of heroism, and a few perish.

final word: A worthy ending to a saga that's spanned eight movies and ten years.
