Hellboy 2: The Golden Army

synopsis: An angry elven prince decides to gain control of the powerful Golden Army and use it to wreak havoc on humankind; only Hellboy and friends can stop him.

impressions: This had some neat concepts, but it also got slowed WAY down by drama. The audience doesn't want to see long periods of characters pondering their relationships. Keep that stuff short! Anyway, the concept of the Golden Army was pretty cool.

things to watch for: the fight near the end, against the Golden Army

something this movie has that no other movie has: an army of self-repairing mechanical giants

acting: The same group of actors returned in the key roles, and all did fine. Major new characters included the elf prince and his sister.

final word: Worth seeing, but not as good/accessible as the first one.
