The Hollow Man
release year: 2000genre: sci-fi/horror/dramaviewing setting: theater, 8/13/2000what I expected: modernized Invisible Manwhat I got: that, but violent
synopsis: Impatient scientist injects self with invisibility serum, can't change back to normal, goes insane.
impressions: Basic entertaining stuff. Violent, nasty at times. Once he realizes that he can do all sorts of things and get away with all sorts of stuff...he does. It had pretty good acting, and a lot of violence, as one might expect from the director who brought us Robocop and Total Recall.
acting: Kevin Bacon and Josh Brolin did good jobs, as did the supporting cast (all other scientists on the team.)
final word: Worth seeing, though I've noted that the squeamish like to complain about movies like this.
rating: C
