synopsis: In an alternate timeline, Superman suffers a great tragedy and becomes more aggressive about solving the world's problems.

impressions: This was based on a comic that was based on a fighting video game, but don't worry about that - this is superior dark superhero fiction. It depicts a world where things go bad, heroes must fight each other...and some die. If you like the Justice League, or Superman, you will probably enjoy this.

acting: The voice work was good; if any of the voice actors handled multiple characters, I didn't catch it.

final word: Grim, probably-accurate depiction of what it would look like if superheroes tried to build a utopia.
