synopsis: Wing chun master Ip Man enters middle age, and must deal with new challenges (both fighting and otherwise.)

impressions: This one had some great fight scenes (the fight at the docks, the one-on-one fights with major foes) but was also a lot more serious. Ip realizes the hard way that he's been neglecting his wife to do his teaching and fighting, and this really hits home when tragedy strikes.

acting: Donnie Yen again does a good job, this time as an aging but skilled fighter and teacher. Lynn Hung has more to do this time, as her character is dying. Zhang Jin is a friend who also wants to be the one recognized master teacher. Mike Tyson has what appears to be a fairly pointless role as a crime boss businessman. Danny Chan has a short and minor role as young Bruce Lee.
