synopsis: A brother and sister choose the wrong stretch of highway to take on a road trip home, as they encounter a weird and lethal monster.

impressions: As many have said (I always check other reviews after watching a movie and formulating mine) this movie started stronger than it ended. The creepiness of the first half set up some unknown danger that somehow didn't feel quite right when we found out more about it. I can't discuss it any more without spoiling the surprises for you, but suffice it to say that the ending is still suitably creepy to make this movie stand above many other recent horror films.

acting: The only actors who really got any screen time were the two who played the siblings, and they had good chemistry, especially at the beginning in the "setup" phase.

final word: Quite horrific, worth watching.
