what Kolchak faces in this episode: A rising politician who's secretly made a deal with the devil.

impressions: This one was fairly dumb. The sole power demonstrated by the politician: the ability to transform into a mean dog. While I'll agree that this could come in handy, it's not exactly a world-shaking thing to be able to do. Once again, Kolchak meddles where he shouldn't, despite imminent danger to himself. When you know that someone's got some evil plot or secret, the LAST thing you should do is tell them that you know! Tom Skerritt (who later played the captain in Alien) is the evil politician here.
