Lady Terminator

release year: 1988
genre: rip-off action cheese
viewing setting: home DVD, 10/4/10

synopsis: A young student overseas becomes possessed by an evil spirit which makes her homidical and invulnerable.

impressions: They tried. they really tried, in some sense, to make a movie with a basic plot. The problem was that the plot was mystical in nature, while many of the scenes were stolen from a different sort of movie. You could sum this one up with "lady roams around killing people like Terminator, but she's not a cyborg." One might question why bullets have no effect on this lady/creature, but then later she has to perform surgery on one of her eyes. Then again, one might not question that. For me, the big "WTF?!?" moment came late in the movie when the title character suddenly, inexplicably developed the power of laser vision. No, I'm not kidding. It was insane.

body count: 45 confirmed kills

something this movie has that no other movie has: no less than 13 shameless rip-off scenes from Terminator

acting: Zzzzzzz. There was this one character named "Snake" who had a mullet, drove a tank for a while, and acted like a surfer.

final word: So bad it's good.
