synopsis: A normal woman has an accident and gains vastly increased physical and mental capacity.

impressions: This was weird, and I'm not sure I liked it that much. Sure, it was cool to watch this woman outfight and outthink various bad guys, but her ultimate fate was both strange and sad (and actually uncertain.) I think it was the classic problem of style over substance. Anyway.

acting: Scarlet Johansson is Lucy, who changes from a normal and helpless woman into an emotionless super-person. Morgan Freeman is a scientist who's the only one able to understand what's happening to Lucy. Amr Waked is a police captain who ends up helping her. Choi Min-sik is a drug lord whose men pursue Lucy.

final word: Worth seeing once, maybe more if you're into this sort of thing.
