what I expected: I really had no idea, but everyone I know said this was THE movie of the year
what I got: weird sci-fi story with some good action
synopsis: A young man learns to question reality, for his world is not all that it seems. Confusing chaos ensues.
impressions: It made little sense, but its basic premise reminded me a lot of Dark City. I can't say much more without giving away the plot and some surprises, though. There were good action and effects, but I can't say this was a GREAT movie because there were plot holes and unexplained stuff. In short, it was chock-full of fight scenes and special effects, but dangerously low on plot or sense.
acting: Varied and interesting.
final word: Good movie, but not outstanding.
