Meat Loaf VH1 Storytellers
release year: 1999
viewing setting: home DVD, 12/27/12
synopsis: Several years after his out-of-nowhere resurgence, Meat Loaf talks and plays to a small, intimate audience.
impressions: This is about ten songs, between which is a lot of revealing discussion and some audience participation. The video and audio quality are excellent. He doesn't sing anything released after 1993's Bat Out of Hell II although a couple of the songs here did turn up in later albums.
final word: Good unscripted look at this singer and his life and career.
