synopsis: A bunch of college kids pick the wrong island for a field trip.

impressions: Low budget, made for TV, and more importantly...heavy on human drama/conversation and low on giant snake mayhem. The lines were often silly, and some of the actors looked almost embarassed to be speaking them. One bonus: a giant spider made a brief appearance.

body count: a pathetically low 4 humans

acting: Eric Roberts really hams it up here, and for once he's not a slimy bad guy. Michelle O'Shea is one of the students who's extra tough due to being in the military before. Joe Herrera is a sort-of-treacherous poacher.

final word: Passable monster movie, but not one of the classics by any means.
