what I expected: to laugh
what I got: basically, a good laugh-fest
synopsis: Within the established-on-TV framework of their show, a man and two robots poke fun at the old movie This Island Earth
impressions: It started off slow (because the movie being panned started off slow) but overall, this was a barrel of laughs. I'm not a regular viewer of the TV show MST3K and I am not particularly amused by the framework that surrounds the guys making fun of the movie they're watching. However, once they get going, it's pretty solid comedy.
acting: I'm not sure if this is applicable...the acting in This Island Earth was definitely abyssmal.
final word: Worth seeing, maybe more than once.
