synopsis: A retired assassin falls prey to a plot from within his former organization.

impressions: This was a lot like John Wick in regards to its style and action sequences. It was ultraviolent, with some torture sequences that I could have done without. There was also somewhat of a twist late in the game.

acting: Mads Mikkelsen is the super-assassin who just retired, and who they should have left alone. Matt Lucas is the evil mastermind responsible for all the trouble. Vanessa Hudgens is a quiet neighbor with a secret. Of the antagonist assassins, Fei Ren stands out as a psychotic lunatic. johnny Knoxville has a brief appearance as another retired assassin.

final word: This is great violent fun; to put it another way, if you liked the John Wick movies, you'll like this one.
