Queer Eye season 10
release year: 2026
genre: TV reality show (5 episodes)
viewing setting: home streaming 1/25-29/26
synopsis: Five makeover experts, each with a specific area of expertise, work together in positive ways to help people who badly need new looks, wardrobes, furnishings, motivation, etc to get out of whatever ruts they're stuck in.
impressions: This was the final season, with fewer episodes of longer running time. It's the same as before: these positive and free-spirited guys find and assist people who could use some help (or in a couple cases, a helping hand.) The former category are typically people who have lost sight of their situations and need a kick in the ass. Of note, at the end of each episode in this season, one of the five gives their thoughts and retrospective on the overall ten years of this show and how they feel about it all. This season takes place in Washington D.C. and the people helped are:
two old sisters, one of whom is fairly newly single and perpetually grumpy
a former pastor turned teacher at a charter school
a firefighter and single mom who is more resistant to change than anyone every featured on this show
a guy who lives on a boat with his family and doesn't make time for himself
a tour guide who's so focused on providing for his family that he's not there enough for them
acting: There are five members of this cast, and each has a particular area of expertise (food, fashion, culture/relationships, design, grooming.) While some of it is a little over-the-top for straight people, these guys are out there doing good things and helping people.
final word: Entertaining, fun, and practical; it really showcases some great and unique people as well as how a little help can do a long way in their lives.
