Romeo Must Die
release year: 2000genre: actionviewing setting: home DVD, 9/13/00what I expected: no ideawhat I got: good fighting scenes connected by contrived, sometimes aimless plot
synopsis: Black gangsters and Hong Kong gangsters have a turf war, with the latter's best fighter falling for the former's leader's daughter.
impressions: It's just like I said: incredible fight scenes, with the parts between being only marginally entertaining. I could have done without the rap soundtrack.
acting: Pretty good, actually, on all counts.
final word: You should see this once, if only for the awesome fight scenes.
rating: C
