Sabotage

"We're not a team anymore, just a gang."   - Monster

release year: 2014
genre: action/drama
viewing setting: home Bluray 7/27/14

synopsis: A team of elite DEA agents steals some cartel money, loses it, and then they start getting killed one by one.

impressions: I'll tell you one thing: this movie is unlike any other Arnold movie ever. His character is flawed and downright nasty at times. In fact, all characters in this movie fit that profile - it's a bunch of bad good guys, with many of them flat-out unlikeable. There's also a lot of violence, gore, and just general nastiness. There are numerous plot twists and betrayals, so it's kind of a mystery too.

something this movie has that no other movie has: A guy nailed to a ceiling.

acting: Arnold is a lot different than usual here - no over-the-top macho crap. Sam Worthington is one of the more notable members of the team. Olivia Williams is a hard-ass police investigator. Mireille Enos is a crazy female member of the team. Almost everyone else gets killed off before they can see much screen time.

final word: Different, but interesting.
