Sharknado 6

"There's no time to think about the madness of it all. You just have to do it."    - Fin

release year: 2018
genre: cheesy monster horror/action
viewing setting: home streaming 4/24/22

synopsis: Fin and friends/family travel through time to stop the sharknadoes and save the universe.

impressions: This was completely out of touch with reality. It was little more than a chance to showcase different periods in time (prehistoric, Revolutionary War, old West, 1960s, far future) and nothing made sense any longer. I think the filmmakers knew this was it and so they just went bonkers. Notable minor roles and cameos I noticed: Neil deGrasse Tyson, Marina Sirtis, Dee Snider, Tori Spelling, James Hong, Gilbert Gottfried (again.)

acting: Ian Ziering is back as the main hero, who's completely given up on trying to understand or explain anything. Tara Reid is his wife, who's (mostly) back to normal now. Cassie Screbo also returns as ally Nova. Judah Friedlander and Vivica Fox return to their past roles. At the end, we get a glimpse of other past family members from the other movies, basically everyone except Hasslehoff.

final word: Mercifully, it finally ends.
