episode synopsis: Steve helps a Russian cosmonaut friend rescue his fiancee from an underground nuclear reactor that's been hit by an earthquake.

impressions: Yet another early episode that was really good. It had a huge underground complex that's partially collapsed and (eventually) utilized anti-intruder defense systems. Steve and his Russian pal basically ignore everyone's orders (and the danger) and rush down there to find the woman.

notable guest star: Veteran TV and movie actor Gary Collins is Steve's friend Vasily. Veteran TV and movie actor Bruce Glover is a Russian captain who appears to be second-in-command of the Russian station.

significant bionic antics: Steve deflects a falling girder and later performs various metal-bending and distance-leaping feats while descending toward the reactor's computer.
