episode synopsis: An astronaut friend of Steve's is having delusions and babbling nonsense, and everyone tries to figure out why.

impressions: This was the first dud of the series. I mean, when your guest-star is William Shatner - Captain Kirk, for crying out loud! - use him as a bionic villain, or a larger-than-life bad guy, or even an alien invader. But don't waste him as a loony buddy of Steve's who may or may not have powers which never really get described or explained. Nobody wants to see 100% drama episodes here...there has to be some action, intrigue, monsters, aliens...something.

notable guest star: It's William Shatner. And he's almost utterly wasted.

significant bionic antics: Steve grabs a live electrical wire, and makes a great upward leap.
