The Six Million Dollar Man: The Peeping Blonde

episode number: season 2, episode 11 (1974)
viewing setting: home DVD, 2/8/11

episode synopsis: After performing bionic feats without looking around first, Steve ends up blackmailed by a reporter - with neither of them aware that someone else who saw the film is planning to kidnap Steve to sell him to a foreign king.

impressions: Steve's carelessness almost gets the secret exposed, but it's okay because he gets a shot to be romantic with the reporter (who also happens to be Farrah Fawcett-Majors, who also happened to be his wife in real life at the time.) I wonder if anyone realizes that in an actual attempted blackmail of top-secret government people, the reporter would just...disappear. Actually, the two hitmen hired by the evil boss to capture Steve and kill all witnesses probably did realize what was up.

notable guest star: Farrah Fawcett-Majors is the perky blonde reporter. Noted TV actor Hari Rhodes plays one of the hitmen, who looks a lot like Jules from Pulp Fiction 20 years before the latter was made.

significant bionic antics: Steve jumps a lot, runs a lot, rips a metal hatch off a pipe, pushes a huge boulder, throws an arrow a really long way, crushes a padlock, wraps a metal pipe around some bad guys, and a few more.
