episode synopsis: Steve goes undercover at an oil field to figure out why fires keep happening.

impressions: Decent episode. There was a red herring, in the form of an environmentalist group (whose leaders were rather gullible.) Plenty of fire and firefighting action this time, plus a secret evil plot.

notable guest stars: Bruce Glover is a corrupt sheriff. Ken Swofford is a corrupt oil crew chief.

significant bionic antics: Steve stops a rolling jeep (and later a bulldozer), deflects a large falling board, fights two roughnecks, mangles a jail cell door, crushes a padlock, and hurls a pack full of explosive into a raging fire.
