The Sixth Day

release year: 2000
genre: sci-fi/action
viewing setting: home DVD, 12/26/01

synopsis: Human cloning is illegal, but that's apparently not stopping anyone.

impressions: As a movie about the issues and dangers of cloning, as well as how our near future might have cloning, this movie succeeds. As an action movie, it also succeeds. As an Arnold action movie, it's sub-par. Arnold just isn't as entertaining when he's the underdog. His fans like to see him as a ruthless, dominating killing machine.

acting: Pretty good, even for Arnold, who seems willing to take on the more human, less killer roles. That accent may always doom him, though.

final word: Worth seeing, but probably not repeatedly.
