Skippy's Movie Reviews, #19: Terror Train

After the success of 1978's Halloween, Jamie Lee Curtis got offers for a lot of similar films. This is one of the ones she picked. A high school graduating class holds its big party on a train, but little do they know that a lethal stowaway is along for the ride.

Okay, let's get one thing straight: this is definitely a teenagers-stalked-by-slasher movie. All the guys try to be macho, but collapse when faced with true peril. All the women think about is sex, until they find a body, at which point they start screaming. Even Jamie Lee suffers from a case of the stupids for most of the film.

And then there's David Copperfield. He does his thing for a while, and we're led to believe that he's the killer. But he isn't, and he gets killed, and bonus points are gained right then and there.

There were some good plot twists, but they were too few and far between. The movie was watchable, but not overly so. Thus, C-.
