Submarine: Hidden Hunter

release year: 2005
genre: documentary
viewing setting: home DVD 3/1/13

synopsis: This is a glimpse into life and duty aboard a modern submarine.

impressions: This was a pretty entertaining and pretty recent submarine documentary. It focuses on the (then-about-to-be-new) U.S.S. Virginia but also touches on submarine history, some foreign submarines, and the Cold War. You get to see some of the training that the crew must go through, how they eat, sleep, and relax. This is a good educational use of an hour.

final word: Worth seeing for a look into the making of, and life aboard, a submarine.
