Time Bandits

synopsis: A young boy joins some crazy midgets for a trip through time.

impressions: There are very, very few movies that I can't finish. In over two decades of reviewing movies I've watched, I could count on one hand the movies I chose not to finish. This was one of those select few. Why? It had no coherent plot, it was stupid, the humor was of a sort that didn't click with me. Hell, I couldn't even understand some of what they were saying, because they had thick accents and the DVD had no subtitles. That's all I can really say. I tried...three times to get into this movie, but it just wasn't entertaining me in any way.

acting: The boy did a good job as an at-first-unwilling companion to the trip through time periods. He had much more of a sense of wonder for these events than I did.

final word: Overrated and pointless.
