Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust

release year: 2000
genre: animated horror/action
viewing setting: home DVD, 1/15/22 and 10/20/12 and 12/26/02

synopsis: A girl has been kidnapped by a vampire lord, and the girl's father hires a solo vampire hunter as well as a team of them to get her back.

impressions: Weird, but always entertaining. The plot is somewhat convoluted, but there are plenty of fights and gory moments. The animation is top-notch.

acting: N/A - this is animated. The voices were all well-done, but the character of "D's hand" had a very annoying voice as well as stupid lines.

final word: Worth seeing for fans of vampire movies and/or anime.
