Watership Down
"All the world will be your enemy, prince of a thousand enemies. And when they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you." - narrator
release year: 1978
genre: animated adventure/drama
viewing setting: home Bluray 5/23/22
synopsis: Some members of a rabbit community strike out on their own, facing various challenges along the way.
impressions: This was an early example of an animated movie, and was very well-done both in that respect and as an adaptation of the source book. It's an adventure, with good characters and some violence/danger and a bit of humor. These rabbits are just searching for a new home, but it won't be easy.
acting: The voice work is of high quality, with English actors and actresses. John Hurt voices the leader of the group, Michael Graham Cox voices the tough one, but there are a number of others, some of them famous.
final word: Good PG-13 animated animal adventure.
