synopsis: This Youtube channel shares videos of a woman roaming the jungle and building, killing, cooking, and eating things.
impressions: This eighth episode runs 33 minutes, during which she wears clothes more suited to the urban environment than the jungle...does a lot of walking...gathers a bunch of sticks and leaves and a big log and some giant bamboo poles...and throws them all down the hillside...measures and cuts the bamboo logs while standing there in the running stream with her shoes and feet underwater, because she's too tough to give a shit...uses a big rock as a workbench, and gets out the hammer and nails...throws logs around...splits open a bunch of bamboo to make flooring for the cabin SHE'S BUILDING FROM SCRATCH...puts the cabin's frame together, one wall at a time...buids herself a stool when she needs to reach higher for the roof...collects giant leaves to complete the roof, and weaves more into walls...gets out the night's dinner (ribs, pumpkins, and "Top Drink")...builds a fire...makes a mortar and pestle out of bamboo, to grind up the ingredients for the sauce...uses a gigantic leaf as a plate...finally goes to sleep after all this. As for the dog, he started out active, energetically leading the way down the trail at the beginning. But later he reverted to his usual self, being carried across the stream and then curling up to sleep while she was cutting the logs. Later, he got underfoot when she was building something, and had to be moved out of the way. When she was tossing bamboo logs around right after that, he had the sense to stay clear. Later, he helped out by walking all over the flooring she'd just built, I'd assume to test it and figure out where to lie down and sleep. He did watch intently as dinner was prepared, and he got fairly excited when the ribs were done, eventually eating his share. He really seemed to like those ribs!
