synopsis: This Youtube channel shares videos of a woman roaming the wilderness and building, killing, cooking, and eating things.
impressions: This was a transition episode; it starts off with a message from the girl who's been the Wild Beauty up to this point, letting us know that she's got 200,000 followers, she's been wandering in the woods for almost a year, her pets have been having health issues and need some time off, and so does she. But all is not lost, because she has a "second sister" who will take over for a while. We then get an action scene of second sister running through the forest looking badass and shooting a wild boar. And with that, we're got a new Wild Beauty! This girl is more slender than her first sister, and doesn't smile much, probably because she doesn't have the silly dog and crazy monkey around to provide humor. At any rate, she wastes no time running up a giant log and cutting vines to make new sandals for herself (because her regular shoes kept filling up with water whenever she walked through streams or ponds.) By the 15-minute mark it's apparent that she has all the skills: climbing, vine-cutting, stick-sharpening, construction. At first I figured all those long sharpened poles were part of a cool plan to kill some giant animal, but I was wrong - they were to build a hut. And what a hut it is! It looks like one of those really sturdy wicker baskets, except bigger and even sturdier. After that, she builds a small shelf for her cooking supplies, as well as a fireplace, and then it's cooking and dinner time. The entire adventure was 37 minutes long. And I miss the two small pets scurrying around trying to get scraps of food.
