Wrestlemania 20

release year: 2004
genre: vintage wrestling pay-per-view
viewing setting: home DVD, 1/25/17

synopsis: This twentieth annual wrestling mega-event was the 2004 edition, and lasted over four hours!

where it happened: New York City

impressions: As always, I won't go into great detail, but just mention the highlights: John Cena vs Big Show to open the pay-per-view...an 8-man tag team match with four teams of two...a good athletic Jericho/Christian match over Trish...Fley/Rock vs Flair/Orton/Batista...recap of the WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony...an evening down match...a ten-man cruiseweight match...Goldberg vs Lesnar with Austin as the referee...another 8-man tag team match with four teams of two...a womens' title match ending in a forced haircut...a technically strong Eddie Guerrero vs Angle match...Undertaker vs Kane...an awesome HHH vs Benoit vs Michaels triple-threat match.

final word: Pretty good (and long) Wrestlemania with a number of complex matches.
